Dryer?
Your old washer has finally decided to call it quits.

you look for a new appliance, you wonder if it’s time to replace the dryer as well.
Having a matching
washer and dryer is not a necessity.

However, here are some factors to consider.
Pricing
Many consider getting a mismatched washer and dryer in order to save money.
This isn’t always the case.
Retail stores will typically offer a larger discount if you buy a washer and dryer as a bundle. However, if your remaining
appliance will last for several years or if you’ve found one appliance that’s
significantly cheaper, the discount may not pay off.
Load Capacity
If you buy a mismatched set, make sure the washer and dryer can handle the same amount of clothes.
Having a dryer with only half the load capacity will back up your laundry process.
Size
Size
You will want a washer and dryer that are about the same size, especially if you stack your appliances. Toronto city living means a lot of people need their appliances to fit comfortably in their condo. Having mismatched appliances for the condo may not be ideal as having
a washer and dryer of different heights can make loading and unloading
awkward.
Many people prefer a matching
washer and dryer simply for the aesthetic, but you can be unique and
purchase different pieces. Make the choice that’s right for you.
